
Our programmes transform the lives of people across our boroughs.
We manage a deliver a portfolio of programmes that are helping people in our boroughs develop skills and find work they love. Alongside this we are supporting our boroughs to attract the digital and transport infrastructure investment this part of London needs.
Delivered with or on behalf of our our nine member boroughs, our programmes - the result of securing additional funding for our boroughs - address issues that are relevant across multiple boroughs and create economies of scale.
Key area of focus
Skills and Employment
Our employment support programmes have helped over have helped over 26,000 local people find work or training, many of whom were furthest from the job market and facing barriers to entering employment.
Infrastructure
We have secured over £20m of investment into the sub-region. This includes over £9m of GLA grant and SIP funding distributed acros the sub-region, and leveraging over £5m of commercial investment into fibre infrastructure.
Active Programmes
Work and Health Programme
Our Work and Health Programme has provided holistic support to over 21,000 people to help them find work. Many of whom were far from the job market.
Work and Health Programme Pioneer
Our Work and Health Programme Pioneer provides more intensive holistic support to people to help them find and stay in work.
Careers Hub
We work with over 97% of mainstream and special education secondary schools across our sub-region, helping them enhance their Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programmes.
Integration Hub
As part of the Mayor of London’s ‘No Wrong Door’ initiative, our Integration Hub team bring together employment services, employers and residents looking for work, apprentice / traineeships or training opportunities.
Digital Infrastructure Programme
We are working with the private sector and our boroughs to improve digital connectivity across our sub-region.
Connect To Work
Coming soon, Connect to Work will help thousands of people across the country to find work quickly and stay in work with ongoing support for employers and employees.
Trailblazers
Soon to launch, our Trailblazers will use learning from previous programmes and will complement what our boroughs are doing already to help people get into work.
Archived Programmes
E-Business Programme
Our E-business programme provided free business and digital support to over 3,000 SMEs, helping them create over £57m increase in business turnover.
UKSPF People and Skills
UKSPF People and Skills provided locally tailored support via our boroughs’ teams to over 1,700 residents, helping reduce levels of economic inactivity.
Local London Works
A precursor to UKSPF People and Skills, Works supported unemployed and economically inactive residents in five of our boroughs into work, funded through the European Social Fund.
Local London JETS
Responding to the significant rise in unemployment due to the pandemic, our award-winning JETS scheme helped over 9,000 unemployed people to find work.
